I'm glad to hear you like it :)

BTW, for Jumpy, if you want to see more Pterrifying Pterosaurs (jeez look what I did), the other day I found the image blog of the guy who did all that research on the terrestrial stalkers: http://www.flickr.com/photos/markwitton

This one here I would really hate to bump into in a dark alley. http://www.flickr.com/photos/markwitton ... 082038974/ I mean seriously, who let them be bipeds now? That's just too much!

Heyaa

I had read what you had posted on Kidjutsu, and just found out there was more after listening to a Webcomics Beacon Podcast. I'm really psyched about catching up with the comic.

Keep up the good works,
p.

Wow, thanks for the additional information. I actually managed to bring Pterosaurs into a conversation about who, or in my case what, one would want to share a cup of coffee with. I'm not sure why, but I just think it would be an interesting experience. Ah, and by the way, I wanted to thank you again. After I started reading your comic, my passion for dinosaurs has been re-lit, and I'll be participating in a dig soon. Thank you again sir, my hat's off to you.

That's awesome! My totally unscientific comic inspires the pursuit of actual science! :D If you'd like to post (or just send me an email) later about your dig experience I'd love to hear about it. I'll be going to the nearby mammoth dig site (link: http://www.cwu.edu/~masters/mammoth.html) again this summer, but I've never participated in anything like that.

Also, @ John, I'll have to post up another chapter or two at KidJutsu, I wasn't sure if anyone was really reading it there or not! Thanks for letting me know!

G'day.

I tripped across this great comic when it was suggested by Sam and Fuzzy (well not BY Sam and Fuzzy themselves, that would be varying degrees of unrealistic, Sam Logan. And not TO me. To a general audience that has me in it)

But I read it all.

And I will re-find it in the future, and re-read it.

Great Comic, keep up the great work!

Hello!

I discovered your comic thanks to a link on Meredith Gran's Octopus Pie strip. I love everything about your work. It's my greatest Web comic discovery in years. Also it's a completely unique mix. Dinosaurs, lost civilizations, idiot time travellers, a goofy triceratops sidekick! And then there's omnivorous Dawn. Who could ask for more? I first read it backwards, and then I read it from the beginning. I hope that Hollywood finally gets around to doing a movie based on your strip, in order to redeem themselves from having done 10,000 BC.

It'd have to be shot with a blue tone.

The dig was great. I found a shell and helped dig out a staircase in the hillside. I'm not quite sure what the shell was from. The paleantologist in charge told me the scientific name, which I didn't catch. It did help clarify the ecosystem at the time though. I also found out that a large portion of Texas was once under ocean in the cretaceous perioud, and the gulf of Mexico used to go up to Canada.

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm glad to see someone else sees such obvious movie potential here. ;)

@Jumpy: Sounds like a good time! :) I've read a little bit about the older, bigger gulf of Mexico before, it features prominantly in the book Cretaceous Dawn, which takes place in Montana. ;)

Nice comic. I remember when I was a little kid I drew dinosaur "comics." Makes me want to draw again. (the "comics" was a reference to my drawings as a kid, not yours)

I like this comic. It's a fun little adventure, and pretty funny. I especially enjoy your complete and utter disregard toward any historical accuracy. I look forward to seeing where this goes!

What's your opinion on Primeval, that new show on Sci-Fi?

Thanks for the messages guys!

Re: Primeval, I actually haven't seen it! Not having cable is no longer an excuse, I'm sure it's on Hulu or something. Is is actually "new" on SciFi? I thought it had been running for a while now (I even see references to it when looking up dinosaurs on wikipedia from time to time, in the "in the media" sections..)

Just registered, THEN noticed there was a guestbook and that it didn't require it. Aw well. The point in coming here was to say that today's comic is one of the best comedic deliveries in Dawn of Time to date. Good on ya.

Been reading DoT for a few months, think I came here from Gastrophobia? I always enjoy it, at any rate, so keep it up.

Really like the comic. Just finished catching up, but definitely could have spent more time looking at all of them. Linked here from Sam & Fuzzy, which I linked from QC, so my repertoire for webcomics has been nicely expanding (three is a good number :D).

Thrown off by the whole people & dinosaurs as major plot assumption, but its still awesome, and the complete anachronisms that run throughout the whole thing are kind of one of the defining themes of it, really. Such a neat idea.

Definitely going to stay up-to-date. Can't wait to see what develops.

I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but you should really make some pretty banners so people can link to your site more effectively. I see that you have a 'web links' section to your web site that isn't up yet, so I assume it's something you plan on doing at some point?

"at some point" seems right! :) I do have some links down on the right, on the front page, so an actual links page just never really got done. It's been blank for almost a year now without one, whoops... (Lately I've been thinking I'd like to redo the whole site anyway!)

However, banners WOULD be a good thing to provide because I do like it when people link me, so at the very least I'll see about getting something going here soon.

I made an actual article for Dawn of Time at TV Tropes. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DawnOfTime] It needs work, but I can fix that.

Thanks! I've been really surprised by the linking power TVtropes has, my entry under "nubile savage" has been one of my more consistent sources of traffic over time. I guess I shouldn't be surprised (I've spent enough time over there myself..) but nevertheless... Thanks for taking the time to put it together! :)
