So, Sonic Unleashed, right? I'm sure there are people who will like it, I mean, I'm playing it despite the ghastly initial impressions it made on me, and finding things to like about it. I just really hope the people who made it REALLY like it, because it REALLY isn't what I want from a Sonic game. They just cannot get it right.

I would wonder why I even bought it, except after just a moment of wondering, I know why. Sure, perhaps sensing my trepidation towards the game and wanting to make sure I bought it before even more unfavorable impressions steered me away from it altogether (hi there Sonic 2006), Sega sent me an email with a discount coupon at Amazon if I preordered. But the real reason? I just have to. I have to know how good or bad it is, and you can't really know unless you play it. This is a terrible use for money, but everybody needs a vice.
