Edit: If you forgot who this man is, just go back about 20 strips!
Here in town we have two movie theaters. One is old and has been around a while, its sound systems are failing (or at least they were the last time I went in), and the other is new and is a major class act--bigger screens, better sound, air conditioning that they actually turn on in the summer, and most importantly: stadium seating. The seats are set vertically apart enough that if I tall person sits in front of me, I don't even notice. Meanwhile, in the old theater, if anyone taller than 5 feet sits in front of me, their head is going to be in my field of view and it is a major annoyance for me, and I just don't go there anymore.
I don't know why, but for some reason the crappy old theater with its meager 3 screens continues to cling to life against the monstrous decoplex across town by getting the big movies (or frequently just the ones I want to see) first. That's why I'm not watching District 9 this week, and it's why I just saw Pixar's Up--oh my god, what a perfect movie that was. You've all already seen it, I'm sure! But that's really all there is for me to say about it, it made my day.
Oh, and there are links now!
