My local Fred Meyer disappoints again--we went by to pick up Scribblenauts, and they didn't have it. They just didn't have it yet, and didn't know when they would. I may have offended the clerk when I asked about it, because this has happened with so many games I thought I'd just walk in and buy on impulse, often weeks after the release date, I just made a disgusted throaty sound and walked out. The local staff doesn't have any control over this, it's all handled by the higher ups and as far as I can tell they just don't think the stores in smallish towns are worth making orders for frequently. With higher profile games they'll often have them in quicker, but I guess even Scribblenauts isn't a big enough name despite all the hype on it.
