The other day I read through Jim Lawson's Paleo TPB, which was collected in 2003. It is an all-dino book with no humans and very little anthropomorphism (though there are some raptors doing hilarious ninja kicks), and it's got a forward where Stephen Bissette gives a brief history of Dinosaurs in comics, and you can actually read the whole thing right here if you like. Obviously the allure of the dinosaurs-only comic doesn't have the same effect on me, but it's an interesting read and so is Paleo. I guess I'll check out Bissette's own Dino-work, Tyrant next.
